The Difference Between Pure, Natural and Organic Oils

What is the difference between natural, pure and organic oils? Does it matter which oils you use in your skin products?

Yes! Quality is very important when choosing oils to be used in your skin care product formulations. Processed oils go through a series of chemical procedures, whereas unprocessed oils do not. Oils that are extracted mechanically is better than oils extracted via chemical processes because the chemical process removes vitamins and minerals that naturally exist in the oils. Processed oils may cause irritation or dry out the skin, while unprocessed oils are much gentler.

Now lets look at the terms pure, natural, and organic. Pure oils are not mixed with other oils and does not go through any chemical processes. Natural oils contain only natural substances and no synthetic ingredients. A natural oil can also be a combination of natural oils mixed to create a new blend. Organic oils are extracted from plants that is grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers or growth enhancers.

Nature’s Radiance always strive to use natural, pure, and organic oils so that our products are truly nourishing to your skin. This is also why we don’t use synthetic fragrance oils – although these are less expensive – to add fragrance to our products, we only use essential oils.
